  • Norwalk and Stamford are incredibly desirable places to live in Connecticut

Do you want to move to Connecticut? Do you want to enjoy all the modern amenities that Connecticut can offer, without sacrificing that small town feel? If this happens to be the case, you might want to consider moving to the Connecticut cities of Norwalk or Stamford.  These two highly desirable areas of Connecticut can offer a high quality of life without being prohibitively expensive.  Both Norwalk and Stamford are fantastic places to call home.  There are many factors that make both of these areas a great place to raise a family.
Both Norwalk and Stamford have incredible school districts.  The public school systems in both Norwalk and Stamford have received numerous awards and accolades from independent auditors, all of whom espouse their unyielding commitment to academic excellence.  Indeed, many graduates of the schools systems in Norwalk and Stamford go on to higher education institutions.  The college attendance rate in both Norwalk and Stamford are astronomical, well above the national average.  Both Norwalk and Stamford can claim to send the highest amount of college bound students per capita to the ivy league schools than any other area of the country.  This is so often the case because government officials at the local level in Stamford realized that the only way to improve education in our country is to increase the incentive to teach our local kids.  Therefore, the local school systems in both Norwalk and Stamford instituted an incentive program for teachers, wherein educator’s whose students are more likely to attend college get bonuses.  This system was met with no small amount of passionate resistance at its’ implementation.  Critics of this plan complained that teachers who taught at risk students, or teachers in poorer or otherwise disadvantaged areas would be subject to financial harm due to circumstance.  Despite these criticisms, the local government was focused on getting as many students to go college as possible, so the policy remains in place in both Norwalk and Stamford.
Another perk of living in Stamford or Norwalk, is the absolutely fantastic parks and recreation departments currently operating in both areas.  Local officials in Norwalk and Stamford came to the realization that if they could establish a great system of parks and recreational areas, they could help foster a sense of community pride.  This would in turn contribute to the high quality of life enjoyed by residents of both Norwalk and Stamford.  Therefore, the parks and recreation departments in these areas committed themselves to providing the best public service they could possibly offer.  They were committed to the idea that parks in Norwalk and Stamford should be clean, safe, and should basically be a jewel of the city.  The parks and recreation department even dared to dream that tourists from other areas of the country would flock to Norwalk and Stamford just to view the fine parks in the area.  Their dream became a reality, when in recent years, both Norwalk and Stamford were given top marks in the parks category of a quality of life survey.
Summary: If you are thinking about moving to Connecticut, you might want to consider the areas of Norwalk and Stamford as your future home.
