Meet the Staff

Michael B. Stein, DMD, founder of The Stein Dental Group is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He served in the U.S. navy Dental Corps., and he is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Stamford Dental Society of which he is a past president. Dr. Stein serves on several local and charitable boards. He resides in Stamford with his wife Janet and has two grown children. Dr. Stein enjoys golfing, tennis and travel.

Our full time periodontist, John P. Rallo DDS, has been practicing for over 14 years. He is a graduate of New York University and holds a periodontal specialty certificate. Believing that periodontics is the cornerstone to dental health, he continues to stay educated by taking numerous courses in the latest surgical technology. He's a member of the ADA, CSDA, Stamford Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontics and the Northeast Society of Periodontics. His mission is to build a relationship with each of his patients that leads to long-term periodontal health. Dr. Rallo lives in Easton with his wife, Elizabeth and their two young children.

David Fong DMD is our staff Endodontist. He is a graduate of Tufts University and has been performing root canal therapy for over 20 years. His focus is to make visits with him a positive experience. Dr. Fong continues to develop and learn new technique and skill in order to maintain the highest level of care. He is a member of the ADA, CSDA, and American Association of Endodontics. When Dr. Fong isn't doing root canals, you will find him surfing the Internet, jogging, or on the golf course. He lives in New York City with his wife.

General and Cosmetic Dentistry are her specialties. Alejandra Costantino DDS, has been practicing for 17 years. She is a graduate of Columbia University and was a resident at Booth Memorial Medical Center. She graduated with top honors and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. She also received the Enrico Fermi award for academic and clinical excellence. Dr. Costantino continues to further her education with courses in cosmetic dentistry, veneers and implantology. She is very active in her daughters' school. You can find her tutoring children, at PTA meetings, and around the Girl Scout Camp. She lives in Stamford with her husband, Peter, and two daughters.

You can find our Oral Surgeon, Christopher Lane DDS trying to take the fear out of oral surgery,. He is a Diplomate, American Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. In practice for 11 years, Dr. Lane did his residency work at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. His dental mission is to provide the highest quality surgical services in a calm and stress-reduced environment. Dr. Lane enjoys teaching residents at St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, New York , and his special interests in dentistry include trauma surgery, dental implants, sedation and jaw surgery. He is a member of the ADA, AAOMS, NYSSOMS, IAOMS and is active in the 9^th District Dental Society in New York. Dr. Lane is a volunteer firefighter in Briarcliff Manor, New York where he lives with his 7-year-old son, Jared.

Dr. Soha Alkoka DMD is a general dentist who has special training in endodontics. She has been doing root canal treatment for five years. She is a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. Her goal for her patients is to take the fear out of root canal therapy, and she continues to stay current with all of the latest technology in the field. Dr. Alkoka works closely with Dr. Fong and the general dentist in the practice to offer proper diagnosis and treatment. She is a member of the ADA and AGD. Dr. Alkoka is married to Dr. Mourad Rahim; they live in Stamford and have two young daughters.

With a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Mourad Rahim is a full-time staff general dentist. Practicing since 1986, Dr. Rahim is a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine. He was a clinical instructor during his time at the University for two years. His goals in dentistry are to listen to his patients and build long-term relationships. He strives to meet the highest standard of dental care possible. Dr. Rahim has taken many courses in laminate veneers and cosmetics. He is a member of the ADA and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He lives in Stamford with his wife, Dr. Soha Alkoka, and their two young daughters.

Dr. Monica is a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania and Columbia University. She is a part-time clinical instructor at Columbia University. She provides all phases of orthodontic treatment to children as well as adults and is certified in Invisalign. Dr. Monica is a member of the ADA, AAO, CSDA, SDA and is the Editor for the Columbia Orthodontic Alumni Association. When she's not busy creating miles of smiles, Dr. Monica enjoys spending time with her husband, Ajay, and her young daughter, Isha.

Dr. Rashmi Patel is a full-time staff general dentist. He is a graduate of The State University of New York at Buffalo and did his general practice residency at St. Barnabas Hospital. He strives to provide the highest quality evidence based comprehensive dental care possible. He thinks important aspects of dentistry are sensitivity, awareness and continuing education. These components result in an exceptional level of patient confidence, care and comfort. He is a member of the ADA, AGD, AADR, IADR, AAOB. Dr. Patel lives in Stamford with his wife and is the stepfather of four grown children. He enjoys swimming, scuba diving, soccer, and softball.
